I'm a paleobiologist. I study fossils to understand the life of extinct species and the environments they were living in. To do that, I use a variety of approaches, like the analysis of bone internal structure, and the study of ichnites (fossil traces). I also combine anatomical and biomechanical data using computer simulations and finite element analysis. |

Moreover, I have a strong interest in developping paleontology in Chile at different levels by giving basic lectures for kids and the general public (see the program of the workshops I organized) as well as university courses, and by carrying out scientific research and ensuring site protection. |
